How to Visit AZ Golf Homes for Sale While Maintaining Social Distancing

If you’re like many people, you’re buying a house in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic – but can you really tour homes while maintaining safe social distancing guidelines?
Absolutely.
Here’s what you need to know.

Our agents are working hard to ensure the safety of all our clients, and in many cases, that means offering virtual walk-throughs of homes. If you see a home you’re interested in, you can let one of our agents know and he or she will be happy to schedule something for you. You can also visit the home yourself with one of our agents, who will maintain social distancing and help you take in-person tours safely.
You can stay safe on in-person tours by using these five tips:

Driving your own vehicle to home tours
Limiting the number of people you bring to see the home
Washing your hands before you go in and before you leave, as well as washing or sanitizing after you leave each home
Wearing shoe covers if the home seller has provided them
Avoiding touching anything in the home

#1. Driving your own vehicle to home tours

Most people already drive their own vehicles to home tours – it’s easier to have private discussions in between home tours. Your agent will most likely suggest that you follow him or her from home to home when you’re visiting the houses that interest you.

#2. Limiting the number of people you bring to see the home

If you can avoid bringing your whole family to tour homes, do so. It’ll help limit possible exposure to COVID-19, and it’s easier to keep track of who’s touching what (see Tip #5 for more on that).

#3. Washing your hands before you go in and before you leave, as well as washing or sanitizing after you leave each home

Many sellers are providing soap and paper towel for prospective buyers to use in their homes, so take advantage of it! Also, bring a small container of hand sanitizer with you so you can use it if there isn’t a way for you to wash up between homes.

#4. Wearing shoe covers if the home seller has provided them

Some sellers are providing shoe covers for prospective buyers to use. Either way, though, you should leave your shoes on when you’re on tours unless the seller specifically requests that you remove them.

#5. Avoiding touching anything in the home

It’s tough to avoid touching anything in the homes you tour, especially if sellers haven’t left cabinet doors or drawers open so you can get a good look. If you can’t avoid touching things, use a paper towel or disposable gloves and discard them before you leave the house.
