Golf Scottsdale: Spotlight on Continental Golf Club

Golf Scottsdale: Spotlight on Continental Golf Club
Continental Golf Course, one of Scottsdale’s hidden gems, is one of the best golf courses in Scottsdale – but what’s the scoop on tee times, cost, membership and benefits? Here’s a guide to Continental Golf Course so you can get to know this beautiful spot known as “Scottsdale’s Best Late Afternoon Golf Getaway.”

About Continental Golf Course

Continental Golf Course is a Greg Nash/Jeff Hardin-designed course that’s made for golfers of all skill levels. This public course has been open since 1977, and it’s a popular favorite with locals.
The par-60, 18-hole course has a clubhouse, café and pro shop that features premium equipment and apparel. There’s a golf practice facility (including a short game area), as well, and if you need a nudge in the right direction, you can enroll in a comprehensive instructional program (they offer them for juniors and adults).
The greens are a tough read, which makes the course challenging for novices and pros (and everyone in between). Walking is allowed (though metal spikes are not). There’s also a driving range, pitching and chipping area, and putting greens for practice.

Golf Scottsdale: Spotlight on Continental Golf Club - Where is it?

Where is Continental Golf Course?

Continental Golf Club is just around the corner from Old Town Scottsdale, near 101 and East Indian School Road. There are a couple of great little restaurants (as well as a Starbucks) just outside the club, as well, including Carlsbad Tavern and Dilla Libre Dos.
Continental Golf Course is near a number of Scottsdale neighborhoods, but the closest is McCormick Ranch. It’s also only a short drive from Eagle Mountain, FireRock, Ancala, McDowell Mountain Ranch and SunRidge – each of which has its own golf course and neighborhood.

Is There Real Estate at Continental Golf Course?

Being a public course, there aren’t any homes tied to the course itself. However, there are several nearby golf communities tied in with country clubs and their own courses.
