August 5: U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifier (Tatum Ranch in Cave Creek)

The U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifier at Tatum Ranch is open to any amateur who has turned 55 as of August 24 this year, and whose USGA Handicap Index doesn’t exceed 7.4 is eligible to enter.

August 5 through August 7: 76th Arizona Open Championship (Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa)

The Arizona Open Championship, a 54-hole state open tournament that’s open to professional and amateur golfers, requires you to have an active USGA Handicap Index that’s 10.0 or under at the time you enter.

August 5 through August 7: Women’s State Amateur Stroke Play Championship (Troon North in Scottsdale)

The Women’s State Amateur Stroke Play Championship, which Troon North in Scottsdale is holding this year, is a 54-hole tournament is open to all ages, provided that participants are amateurs with a 36.0 Handicap Index or lower.

August 14: U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifier (The Country Club at DC Ranch in Scottsdale)

The 33rd Annual U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifier, which The Country Club at DC Ranch is holding this year, is open to any female amateur who has turned 25 as of September 14, provided that she doesn’t have a USGA Handicap Index higher than 9.4.

August 20: U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifier (Moon Valley Country Club in Phoenix)

Open to any amateur who has turned 25 as of September 14 and whose USGA Handicap Index doesn’t exceed 3.4, the Mid-Amateur Qualifier at Moon Valley Country Club in Phoenix takes place on August 20.

August 26 through August 29: Arizona Divisional Match Play Championship (Raven Golf Club in Phoenix)

The Arizona Divisional Match Play Championship starts on August 26 and carries through the 29th at Raven Golf Club in Phoenix. This 18-hole stroke play is organized by age-based division.
