Rio Verde

Located at the east end of Dynamite Rd, and west of the Verde River, Rio Verde is designated as a 55+ community. It is governed by a homeowners association that focuses on enhancing and maintaining amenities that provide an active lifestyle for its residents.
The community is surrounded by open desert on all four sides, creating a peaceful and quiet setting away from the bustle of the city. It’s bordered on its north and east side by the Tonto National Forest and on its west side by McDowell Mountain Regional Park. To its south are pecan and citrus trees and 5 miles of desert leading to the town of Fountain Hills, about 5 miles away.
Residents of the community enjoy the many amenities offered at the Community Center, which include a fitness center, swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, table tennis and billiards, an art studio, multi-purpose rooms for Mahjongg, bridge, exercise classes and ballroom dance lessons, and a library. Throughout the community are hiking and biking trails. Located at the nearby Rio Verde Ranch is the Saddle Club, a member owned club that provides boarding and care for members’ horses and includes 14-stall barn, pens, exercise paddocks, a tack and food storage shed, an exercise arena, as well as a full time on-site wrangler.

Rio Verde offers everything from townhomes, villas and custom built homes, a total of 980 residences. The large lots in the neighborhood provide for a low-density community and many of the homes enjoy golf course, mountain and desert views.
In 2021, home sales in Rio Verde ranged in price from $235,000 to $2,000,000. The average sale price was $582,000.
