Tickets are $22.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids 3 to 13 if you buy them online. They’re $24.95 for adults and $14.95 for kids 3 to 13 if you buy them at the gate. Either way, kids 2 and under are free.

Kid-Friendly Activity #2: Butterfly Wonderland

Explore the life cycles of hundreds of butterflies, catch a 3D movie and see more than 3,000 live butterflies (some of whom will land on you!) at Butterfly Wonderland. Tickets are $23.95 for adults and $15.95 for kids aged 2 to 12. Military and seniors get in for $21.95 with an ID card.

Kid-Friendly Activity #3: Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting

Located in the Phoenix Papago Park, the Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting is home to more than 90 fire trucks and several amazing exhibits that document the history of firefighting in the U.S. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students aged 6 to 17, $4 for kids aged 3 to 5, and free for children under 3. Seniors get in for $8.

Kid-Friendly Activity #4: MacDonald’s Ranch

Test out your horseback-riding abilities, swing by the petting zoo or hop on a hayride at MacDonald’s Ranch. Costs vary based on activity, from horseback rides to stagecoach rides.

Kid-Friendly Activity #5: OdySea Aquarium

The beautiful OdySea aquarium, right next to Butterfly Wonderland, is home to dozens of amazing species of underwater creatures. You’ll find sharks, stingrays and so many more saltwater and freshwater fish. Ticket prices vary based on the attractions you’re seeing, but for the aquarium alone, it’s $37.95 for adults, $27.95 for kids 2 to 12, and $35.95 for military and seniors with an ID card.

Kid-Friendly Activity #6: McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

Located in Scottsdale, the 30-acre McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is a real gem. You can ride on the Paradise & Pacific Railroad or the 1950s-era Allan Herschell Carousel, shop at little boutiques, play on the playground or visit a number of great museums, including the Scottsdale Railroad Museum.
