The Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club is home to two Jack Nicklaus golf courses: The links-style Lost Gold Course, and the more traditional Prospector Course.
Jack teamed up with his son Gary to build the Prospector which opened in 1999. It is a par 72, 7,195-yard track with a slope of 131. There are incredible vistas, wide fairways and green speeds that are faster than those on some major tournaments.
The Lost Gold Course is a 7,351-yard course that opened in 1999. The par-72 course has a slope of 131. Jack and his son Jack Jr. designed the course’s layout.
The two courses have hosted PGA events such as the Senior Slam, Countrywide’s Tradition tournament and the LPGA Safeway International. Recently, Prospector was selected by Golfweek Magazine as one of the Top 100 residential courses in the United States.
The 50,000 square foot clubhouse has spectacular views and old-world Tuscan charm. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, enjoying a workout, or taking fitness classes, the club offers something for every member of the family.
