Troon, the world’s largest golf management company, just announced an exciting partnership with SunRidge Canyon Golf Club in Fountain Hills. The club is wrapping up a huge renovation project and is currently closed, but when it reopens in October it will be under the Troon moniker. SunRidge players will be able to participate in Troon programs like the Troon card, Troon Rewards, Team Troon and Troon Golf Vacations.
SunRidge Canyon Golf Club is known for its public course in a panoramic Sonoran Desert location near the McDowell Mountains, as well as its “adventurous” course designed by Keith Foster. With elevation changes, picturesque backdrops and desert landscaping as part of the design, the club repeatedly makes the top 25 in Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” in Arizona list. The club also recently hosted the 2014 Titleist & FootJoy PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada.
Their current renovation project will make the club even more of an attraction. Highlights of the enhancement include:
- Champion Ultradwarf Bermudagrass
- Improvements to the practice facility
- Expanded putting surfaces
- Widening fairways in landing areas
- Renovating cart paths
- The nation’s top recognized golf instructors
The club is already the worldwide headquarters of Hot Stix Golf, a state-of-the-art technology-based club fitting company. Using proprietary fitting software, individual evaluations and custom club building, the company seeks to “enhance the golf experience for each player.”
Troon North and Troon Village in north Scottsdale and SunRidge Canyon in Fountain Hills are all among the top Arizona golf course communities.
