Troon North lays the groundwork for a new luxury resort

One of the leading golf clubs in the world is planning to become more of a destination. A new Scottsdale luxury resort is in the works right outside the Troon North Golf Club. Tentatively named the Troon North Villas project, the resort would bring 64 units right up to the clubhouse.
While the creative groundwork is being laid, the plan is still in the design and development process and the collaborators are keeping their lips sealed on any details. At this point, zoning is in place and the project architecture and site plans are currently under review by the Scottsdale Development Review Board.
This image submitted to the Board shows just how close the resort units will come to the Troon North clubhouse. And how their construction might affect the surrounding homes.

If approved, the units could make for excellent on-site boarding for golfers and an option for family and friends visiting those who live in Troon North. Currently the nearest resort is The Four Seasons at Troon North, about two miles from the proposed project site. The Four Seasons is a AAA five-diamond hotel, one of only five in Arizona, that pulls in nightly rates of about $500 in the peak season.
As the top rated Phoenix public course and 25th in GOLF’s “Top 100 courses you can play,” among several other national nods, Troon North has become a very popular destination club. If golf enthusiasts aren’t lucky enough to live in the surrounding Troon North master planned community, these resort villas may make perfect golf retreats for players around the world.
A few other development projects in Scottsdale hit the review board recently, too. Most notable is an 80-acre parcel of land next to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Home Builder Toll Brothers is proposing to build 52 million-dollar homes right in the heart of Arizona golf course communities.
Development plans like the Troon North resort and construction permits continue to be a sign of our economic comeback and population growth. Now is a great time to browse golf homes for sale in the Scottsdale area  and see if your ideal home is out there!
