What is TopGolf?
TopGolf reminds me of a bowling alley in many ways. Rather than bowling, the main sport is golf. Each bay is equipped with a television to watch the latest LPGA, PGA and other sporting events and a monitor to keep your group’s score for one of the 9 games you and your friends choose to play.
This mega entertainment facility and the 9 games provide enough variety for a group of new golfers to play with experienced golfers. It’s target golf, great practice and immediate feedback at it’s finest with flags set from 25 yards to 215 yards.
The facility is 3 stories high with plenty of fully outfitted bays. You can bring your own clubs or rent a set from TopGolf.
The bays look out onto the range where you’ll see flags and bunkers at different yardages. The flags are circularly-surrounded by compartmented baskets. Micro-chipped balls allow TopGolf’s electronic systems to track and record where each ball lands, and you get the immediate feedback at the monitor in your bay.
The entry level has play-bays as well as a sports bar and banquet rooms for parties. TopGolf can accommodate groups up to 1000.
The bottom level of TopGolf has play-bays, a second lounge with pool tables and XBox Kinect games where players use their body to play the game. The top level has play-bays and a patio bar where you can sit out and enjoy the views of the McDowell Mountains.
All the bays are climate controlled throughout the year.

The Scottsdale Riverwalk TopGolf facility hosts corporate events, birthday parties for children and adults and any combination of unique group entertainment events you can conjure up.
History of TopGolf Corporation
The TopGolf concept got off the ground in 2000 when the Jolliffe brothers, from Chicago, were on a driving range practicing their swings and were brainstorming ways to liven up their range time and hone their golf skills.
With all that technology had to offer, the brothers wondered why they couldn’t know exactly where their ball landed on the range. Their vision grew and the Jolliffe’s created a golf venue that combined technology, entertainment, competition and that place to perfect golf skills with realtime feedback.
Since first opening, the company moved its headquarters to Dallas. Today there 10 TopGolf facilities in operation with 10 more under construction.
You’ll find TopGolf facilities in major metropolitan areas in Virginia, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma and Colorado. The Scottsdale Riverwalk facility is the new master floor plan for future facilities to follow. The next facility in Arizona is under construction in Gilbert.
