The Phoenix Film Festival started this week and will continue through April 2nd, showcasing independent films and shorts with topics that will cover just about anybody’s preferences. It’s been 15 years in the making to get ranked as one of the top 25 coolest film festivals by MovieMaker Magazine, but Phoenix did it! Accolades go out to the independent filmmakers that rallied in 2000 to start this incredible film festival and accomplish such a feat!

The festivities include filmmaking seminars, screening of over 150+ films, and is basically one amazing party that will see over 25,000 movie goers come and go over the course of 8 days.
It fits anybody’s budget; be a spend thrift and dole out $13 to be part of the festival; dole out $300 for some awesome frills; or anything in between.
It all takes place in North Scottsdale at the Harkins Theater that is home to seven silver screens at the junction of Scottsdale Road and the 101. Check out their web site for the complete schedule.
