Driving by you would never stop at this hole-in-the-wall with a drive-through window, but this interesting little restaurant merits not only stopping but the driving distance as well. The Little Thaiger is a peculiar looking establishment with bright pink umbrellas over black metal tables out front, an ensemble of white leather sofas and assortment of cheap tables & chairs inside, and a glass showcase on the front counter highlighting some yummy but odd looking home-made baked good items.
What is slightly odder is the arrival of a five-star menu item dropped off at your table by the same friendly person that took your order at the cash register when you arrived. It defies reason, and it is without exaggeration, the food arriving at your table is not only tantalizingly delicious but aesthetically pleasing as well. It’s like resort fine dining on a college student’s budget. Cutlery? Plastic. Napkins? Paper. Food? Out of this world!
Curries, pad thai, flaming hot soups with an aromatic basil aroma wafting through the small restaurant, nothing odd about that. The wild boar that is highlighted as a specialty item on the menu? Odd.
If you are into authentic Pho Noodle bowls, the type you use to have to drive to the West side to find, look no further they are now here in South Scottsdale!
The restaurant is located at 7150 East Thomas Road west of Scottsdale Road, and has the signage, Suh Noi.
It’s one of those happy little odd secrets you like to keep to yourself because you are afraid it will all change when the foodies hit on it. Oddly, you have to go!
