The Estancia Club, located in Scottsdale on the north side of Pinnacle Peak, ranked number 61 on Golf Digest’s list of Top Courses in America for the 2013-2014 year. This recognition is coveted by private and public courses alike.
The course rankings are based on the following criteria: difficulty level from the back tees (while still being fair), design variety, memorability, aesthetics, conditioning, ambience, and how well the course equally tests accuracy, length and finesse.
Opened in 1995, Estancia has been ranked on Golf Digest’s Top 100 list for 16 years out of the 19 years it has been in operation.
Tom Fazio, the architect of Estancia, believes that the surrounding environment is the highest influence on what determines a great course and that the blending of Arizona desert landscape with the golf course design is consistently why Estancia is recognized nationally .
Estancia is a private member-owned golf club requiring membership to play, which creates an atmosphere of familiarity but exclusiveness. Guests accompanied by members are also welcome.
The club has an active Caddy Program.
