With temperatures resting into the 80’s and the grass as green as ever, it is prime golfing season in and around Arizona golf communities. While there is no shortage of pro tournaments to watch, a local organization is hosting a charity golf tournament that is open to anyone, with proceeds staying right in the community and benefiting local residents.
The Sons of Arizona have partnered with the Talking Stick Golf Club to host the 2016 Charity Golf Tournament on April 30. One hundred percent of proceeds from the tournament are donated to the nine local Scottsdale branches of the Boys & Girls Clubs. The tournament is aiming to top last year’s donation total of over $25,000.
Sponsorships for the tournament range from $1,600-$5,000 including a foursome and branding opportunities. With companies like Chasse Building Team, SAB, National Bank of Arizona, and RE/MAX present, this will definitely be a great place for networking. The tournament kicks things off on April 30 with registration at 12:30 pm. A shotgun start at 1:30 pm. sends players out on the course to get started.
The Sons of Arizona was founded in June 2011 by 12 Scottsdale and Phoenix residents looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children in the local community. Their mission is to simply lend a hand and give back. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, this years’ sponsored organization, is a great example of the type of organization the Sons like to sponsor.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale have been serving our local youth for over 60 years. Their main focus is on keeping kids productive and safe while they are not in school. The clubs currently serve more than 18,000 youth in and around Arizona golf course communities.
