For anyone who has been to one of the other Postino locations in Gilbert, Tempe, North Scottsdale (Kierland) or Phoenix, you know the anticipation for a downtown Scottsdale location has been palpable. The wait is finally over for those in central Scottsdale golf homes – Postino Highland is now open!

Postino Wine Café is best known for tasty yet cost-conscious wines and some of the best bruschetta in town. Two things that combine on Monday and Tuesday night for the famous $20 board and bottle special. For just $20, diners can get a board of bruschetta and a bottle of house wine (which can be corked to take home later) for just $20. There are wines on the menu worth that alone, so quite a steal. You just have to wait for the clock to strike 8pm.
The restaurant owned by Upward Projects started with its Arcadia location in 2001. Touting itself as the “original neighborhood wine cafe,” Postino Arcadia lives in the historic renovated Arcadia post office building (hence the name).
Most subsequent Postino locations have also been built in a historically relevant building, focused on bringing the community together (the Kierland-North Scottsdale location was the first new-build). The new Postino Highland occupies an old Valley National Bank building. This 5,900 square foot restaurant includes an 18-seat bar and an 80-seat dining room. Vintage matchbooks are part of the unique decor and a homage to the past.
At each Postino Wine Cafe, they strive to keep the wines approachable rather than too fancy (and pricey), and the food fresh and local. The decor and ambiance lends to an edgy yet comfortable vibe. The Upward Projects group also operates Windsor, Federal Pizza, Joyride and Churn.
The new Postino Scottsdale Road locale sits just north of Camelback Road next to Sachi Salon & Spa and across from the Optima condominiums. This is a prime location for post-Fashion Square shopping mall excursions, late night drinks or even weekend brunch. Also ideally close for those living in Scottsdale golf homes like McCormick Ranch and Gainey Ranch.
