To encourage the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, which always offer free admission, the Smithsonian magazine is hosting its annual nationwide “Museum Day Live!” on Saturday, September 27th. Several Phoenix/Scottsdale area museums are participating, providing free admission to visitors.

Here are some local Scottsdale/Phoenix area museums (and a couple that will require a road trip) that are participating in the Museum Day event:
