If you are new to Scottsdale’s desert terrain and not quite sure how to cultivate it, the Central Arizona Cactus and Succulent Society may be a good place to start. The next meeting of this desert horticultural group is Sunday, September 28th at 1:00 pm at the Desert Botanical Garden. The meeting is open to everyone who loves cacti and desert plants.

The Central Arizona Cactus and Succulent Society holds regular monthly meetings. At each meeting, participants are led through the latest desert gardening tips and learn about the plants that are native to the desert. You will find out why you have to replace your succulents – (is it too much water, not enough water, or is water even the problem at all?)
At the upcoming meeting, there will be a myriad of “how-to” demonstrations and an up-close opportunity to explore the plants in the Desert Botanical Garden. Like all monthly meetings, there will be a silent auction of unique species and free plants given out.
