Last chance to catch the classic Romeo and Juliet this weekend at the Herberger Theater

We all know that true love conquers all, and we just never get tired of hearing and seeing it over and over again! Shakespeare’s classic, Romeo and Juliet, is performed by Arizona Theater Company (ATC) and while we know it’s all been done before, Director, Kirsten Brandt retells this classic love affair through a new light using state-of-the-art video.
It’s always a treat to have local cast members on the stage, and as luck would have it, two locals, Kyle Sorrell and Richard Baird, perform in this classic. Baird is making his ATC debut and has performed in 48 other Shakespearian productions, and Sorrell has performed in over a dozen productions with Southwest Shakespeare Company, and twice in Romeo and Juliet.
The Arizona Theater Company will perform Romeo and Juliet for its last weekend of the season at the Herberger Theater Center at 222 E. Monroe in downtown Phoenix on Sunday, April 12. Tickets are on sale now and range from $36 to $72.
