The answer is yes! If you are serious about selling, late spring and summer is a great time to have your home on the market. Not only is there less competition (due to the fact that many sellers take their homes off the market for the summer,) but also the Scottsdale real estate market is surprisingly strong throughout the summer months.
For example, last week The Matheson Team sold a beautiful home in the golf community of DC Ranch in just 5 days. This 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath, 2,775 sq. ft. Monterey home is located within walking distance to the community community center. The sellers priced their home realistically, and the sales process was painless.
Summer home sales in Scottsdale are stronger than people think. Take a look at the chart below. It plots the sales per month for 2013 and 2014.

As you can see, the number of sales in June, July and August for both of those years were higher than the monthly sales for any of the months for the rest of year (with the exception of December 2014.) Last year, there were more closings in June than in May.
In 2014, 474 homes sold in June, 400 in July and 363 in August. That’s over 1,230 homes sold in the summer months in Scottsdale last year. If your home is priced realistically, chances are you will be successful getting your home sold in the summer.
