Halloween Events

Carefree’s Enchanted Pumpkin Garden
October 17 – October 31
Bring the family to a pumpkin-packed fun festival. There are many activities to do while you walk around the Enchanted Pumpkin Garden. The whole family can adopt a pumpkin that was born and raised on Arizona’s very own Mortimer Farms. Small pumpkins cost $5 and large pumpkins cost $10. After adopting your pumpkin, enjoy family carving nights with world renowned pumpkin carver Ray Villafane! Admission to the festival is free.
Monster Ball
October 28
6-8pm
Come join the Anthem Community Center for a fun night of spooky snacks, trick-or-treating and fun games and activities. There will be a costume contest capped off by three prize categories: boys, girls, and family costumes. New this year: the trick-or-treating will be taking place at local Anthem businesses. Home businesses will also be partaking in “trunk-or-treat” in the parking lot of the Anthem Outlet Mall. Trick-or-treating begins at 4 p.m. and leads up to the Monster Ball at 6 p.m. Admission is $6 per person, $10 per couple, and $20 per family of four ($3 for every additional family member under 18).
Howl-o-ween
October 28 – October 29
If you have never experienced Halloween at the zoo, now is your chance! The Phoenix Zoo is hosting a Howl-o-ween event from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. This celebration is great for families with older and younger children because it offers both scary and merry Halloween options. The scary option is for kids 8 years and up. Take a walk down Urban Legend Lane and hear about spooky myths and, while on Walking Dead Way, you better be careful because you might encounter some zombies! For the younger members of the family, the merry side of Halloween includes camel rides, meet & greets with favorite characters from Arizona Avengers and Arizona Ghostbusters. General admission is $12 and member admission is $10.
Halloween Carnival
October 29
Join Tempe in celebrating their 39th annual family Halloween Carnival. Like with most events around the area, this free event will be taking place at Kiwanis Park. This bewitching event will include carnival games, live entertainment, face painting, food booths, train rides, inflatables, and so much more. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their favorite superhero costume or create their scariest ghost look and participate in the costume contest for your chance to win some magical prizes. Admission to the carnival is free, but tickets for attractions are 25 cents a piece and most attractions require 3 or 4 tickets.
So dust the cobwebs off your witches hat and pull your broom out of the closet; it’s time to fly over to one of these ghoulishly Halloween fun festivals and start your fall season out right!
