The Buffalo Chip Saloon, “The Chip”, located in Cave Creek, just minutes from Scottsdale, is the real deal with an authentic western saloon and live country-western music and dancing.
Kick up some dust Thursday nights at the Buffalo Chip Saloon in Cave Creek
Step into this dark saloon with boots hanging from the ceiling, peanut shells covering the floor and a mix of locals and winter visitors dancing to old time country music. Whether it’s an evening of nite club 2-step, progressive 2-step, waltz, west coast swing, polka or cowboy cha cha, you’ll step in the circle and leave with another dance mastered and under your belt.
Free dance lessons happen every Thursday from 7-8 p.m. and you don’t have to come with a partner to join in. A word to the wise, there are many novice cowboy boots kickin’ round the wooden dance floor so you might want to leave those open-toed shoes at home.
Not up for line dancing or country swing with new dance partners every five minutes in the round robin change? Well partner, just head out back and enjoy some free-style, boot stompin’, down home fun in the Wagon Camp with an outdoor bar, dance floor surrounded by hay bales, fire pits and a whole lot of Old West under the stars.
So whether it’s organized swing or some hoe down fun there’s music and dancing 7 nights a week and something for just about everyone.
