Now that the weather is cooling off, nothing says fall better than celebrating with some fall festivals! With their open, green spaces, Arizona golf communities are very proud to be a leader in kicking off the fall season by hosting festivals and events nearly every weekend.
Fall Festivals
There are a lot of activities and options to choose from, but these four festivals near AZ golf homes will inspire you to attend other fall festivities:
Pumpkin & Chili Party
October 1st – 30th
Get into the Halloween spirit by attending the 22nd Annual Schnepf Farms Pumpkin & Chili Party. Located at Schnepf Farms, this festival is the epitome of the fall season. There are hayrides, food, friendly animals, and a pumpkin patch where your whole family can individually choose their very own pumpkins! Just like the name suggests, the Main Grill will be serving spectacular chili, along with the customary corn on the cob and cornbread. Traditional festival food will also be provided at the Farm Grill and Burger Shack. Admission is $18 at the gate or $15 at your local Fry’s store. Enjoy the entertainment and pick your pumpkin!
Arizona State Fair
October 7th – 30th
Celebrate the beautiful state of Arizona by taking the whole family to the 132nd Annual State Fair! The first Arizona State Fair was held over 130 years ago and it grows every year. There are fun games and rides the whole family can enjoy. Support your local food vendors and indulge in classic festival food. The Coliseum stage has been graced by the likes of Elvis and proves every year to add precious memories for all attendees. Admission prices vary day-to-day with several deals to choose from. Don’t miss out on this staple of fall festivals!
Autumnfest Arts & Crafts Fair
October 22nd – 23rd
Enjoy a wonderful event at the Anthem Community Park. Anthem residents and people from all over Arizona gather for this family-friendly festival that celebrates the fall season. Arts & crafts vendors, carnival rides, pumpkin patches, and live entertainment make this a festival you don’t want to miss. Local bands play during the festival and magic artists stroll about, ready to cast their spells! The Kid Zone is equipped with inflatables, hayrides, and train rides, while the arts & craft section features vendors from all over Anthem. Admission and parking are free and the festival is open to the public.
Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Craft
November 11th – 13th
As one of the largest arts & crafts events in the southwest, the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts & Crafts has grown to include more than 500 artists from all over the world. When the festival first began in 1974, there were only 60 artists. All the booths feature original, hand-crafted works of art ranging from jewelry to sculptures. It is the perfect time to shop for holiday gifts. Enjoy good food and live music as you walk around this energetic festival. Admission and parking are free.
