It’s dark out and you feel like a game of golf? No worries, head out to Topgolf at Riverwalk in Scottsdale, the premier three-story golf complex located in the Talking Stick Entertainment District. Be sure to take some buddies where up to six can comfortably fit into one bay for a night of golfing competition and fun!

What once was a hotspot for golf has become a nightly hangout with hive activity on the week-ends. So whether it’s clubbing you are looking for or a sports meet-up, this is the place.
Their signature drink menu is a testament to the equally divided focus between golf and night life with their creative golfbag fishbowl drinks. Try the Mellon Mulligan for $25 which is concocted of Shellback Silver Rum, Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, DeKuyper Melon Schnapps, DeKuyper Blue Curaçao and pineapple juice, or for $30 try the Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea blended with Grey Goose Vodka, Cruz Silver Tequila, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Cointreau Premium Orange Liqueur, lemon sour and Pepsi®. The souvenir glass fishbowl is yours to take with you, if you remember.
There are some select red and white wines that are reasonably priced but a bottle of Dom will set you back $250. For those serious about golf and have worked up a sweat, there are domestic and premium beers to quench that thirst.
But golf is definitely the main course on the menu and it is served up something like this. You get a personalized micro-chipped golf ball and you hit it out into a 240-yard outfield with dartboard-like targets in the ground. The objective is to get it to the center for a “bull’s-eye.” More than likely you won’t, but you will get a reading telling you how you did based on the accuracy and distance of the shot. What you really want to know though is how did you do compared to your buddies, and that’s reflected on the bay screen. Your scoring is recorded and when you return the next time, your history is waiting.
Bring your own clubs or use Topgolf’s clubs for free; there are even clubs for lefties.
Golf enthusiasts, families and social seekers be ready to be blown away…there are lounges, free billiards, shuffleboard and Xbox Kinect. Yep, it’s all free, except for the golf, drinks and food.
