Wondering what the closest golf course and next available tee time is? Ready to check in and let the course know you’re there? Or wouldn’t it be nice to split up greens fees and other charges, just like apps like Uber allow you to do? The new Golfpay app promises to fulfill all those needs and more.
Golfpay is a new golf reservation app created right here in Scottsdale by Folla Media LLC. According to founders, Golfpay “will change how golfers book tee times.” What sets this app apart? Golfpay is the first app to let golfers pay and check in from their smartphones.
Golfpay CEO Dale Merit believes this time saving approach will make golf even more hassle-free and will change the industry. “Our app focuses more on amenities than on tee time discounts, which is something that is really needed in the industry right now,” said Merit. “We’re giving golfers something more, when booking tee times at their favorite courses, and we also eliminated the booking fees.”
The app strives to make the golfer’s experience as streamlined as possible by including a number of features all in one place, including booking tee times with no fees, inviting others to reservations, splitting payments and checking in.
Golfpay works with courses that will use the Pivotal kiosk systems. This system will help courses by allowing them to see who is using the Golfpay app for check in and payment. It also provides another medium for courses to promote loyalty programs, discounts and information. Pivotal is slated to start hitting courses in 2017.
Folla Media LLC already has a lineup of golf apps ready for use on Apple and Android devices, including Golf GPS and FreeCaddie. These golf apps will make living in Scottsdale golf homes that much more efficient in hitting the greens quickly and more often!
