Arizona Restaurant Week offers a taste of the Valley’s best restaurants at a fraction of the price

If you love all the tasty food that the best restaurants in the Valley have to offer and want to try something new, Arizona Restaurant Week is here to bring you 10 days of guilt-free (at least where cost is concerned) indulgence.
Running from September 18 – 27 this year, about 100 restaurants from across the state will participate in three-course prix-fixe menus at set prices of either $33 or $44 per person. Some restaurants even include a drink or price the meal for two people rather than individuals.
The participating restaurants represent the best of the best in Phoenix, with themes ranging from comfort food to gastropubs to traditional top-ranking steakhouses. All participating restaurants will still serve their standard menus, so if you want to opt for the prix-fixe tasting menu but your dining companions don’t, no problem. Since Restaurant Week is actually 10 days long and spans two weekends, you have a lot of time to expand your dining horizons!

While you really can’t go wrong with any of the best restaurants on the list, here are a few of our Matheson Team favorites:
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse
The iconic Scottsdale steak house is dishing up their sizzling steaks and shellfish, complete with a salad, side dish and dessert. 7001 N. Scottsdale Rd., Suite 290, Scottsdale.
Southern Rail
Housed in the same building as former Valley hot spot “Beef Eaters,” Southern Rail is a modern comfort food restaurant serving up “flavors from the American south.” Their three courses include selections like New Orleans’ style red beans and rice, duck confit, wood fried shrimp and andouille sausage and a brown sugar sweet potato tart. Select draft beer or a glass of Arizona wine is also included in the $33 steal. 300 W. Camelback Rd., Phoenix.
Culinary Dropout
The local Fox family of restaurants are represented well in Culinary Dropout, a unique gastropub with chef-inspired flare. The special menu is still under wraps, but we’re sure it won’t disappoint. Other Fox spots on the list this week include Blanco, Olive & Ivy, True Food and The Greene House.  7135 E. Camelback Rd., Scottsdale.

El Chorro
Some of the best sunset views in the Valley can be enjoyed on the El Chorro patio in Paradise Valley. The historic dining monument has been feeding generations of visitors who loyally return to enjoy sustainable, locally grown ingredients time after time. The $44 menu offerings include an organic Caesar salad, center cut filet, fresh catch of the day and banana crème pie. An optional wine pairing or glass of complementary wine can also be added for an additional cost. 5550 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley.
Restaurant Week is a great chance to hone your taste buds and challenge yourself to try something different. With the fantastic deals at already popular places around Scottsdale golf homes, reservations are strongly recommended.
