McDowell Mountain Ranch
The award-winning, master-planned community of McDowell Mountain Ranch is situated at the base of the McDowell Mountains. Minutes away from grocery, dining, retail, pharmaceutical, banking and dry cleaning services, McDowell Mountain Ranch residents have easy access to convenient, high end shopping.
The community is also minutes away from Scottsdale’s Westworld equestrian center, and home to the City of Scottsdale Aquatic Center and the City of Scottsdale Arabian Library.
All residents have access to two community centers featuring pools and spas, tennis, basketball, pickleball and beach volleyball courts, and children’s playgrounds. The neighborhoods of 100 Hills, and Cimarron Hills each offer an additional community center to their respective residents, both featuring a pool, workout facility and tennis courts.
The neighborhood also has 40 miles of walking paths, hiking and mountain biking trails, and is located adjacent to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, which offers hundreds of miles of hiking trails.
The majority of homes in the neighborhood were constructed between 1996 and 2003. Today, nearly 4,000 homes are scattered across the community’s 26 distinct neighborhoods. McDowell Mountain Ranch offers everything from luxury townhomes and condos, patio homes, detached homes and hillside custom homes on acre+ lots. Several of the neighborhoods are gated or guard-gated.
In 2021, townhome and condo sales in McDowell Mountain Ranch ranged in price from $370,000 to $750,000 and detached home sales prices ranged from $501,000 to 3,107,000.
Nestled in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, the club offers all of the amenities of a private club, without private golf club prices. The golf course underwent a massive renovation and enhancement in 2011 which was overseen by the original golf course architect, Randy Heckenkemper.
Golfers can take lessons to improve their game at the McDowell Mountain Learning Center. Phil Mickelson describes McDowell Mountain’s challenging, walk-able course as “family friendly and fun to play”.
The McDowell Mountain Golf Club is home to the Mesquite Grill which offers hungry golfers Mediterranean and Chicago-Italian cuisine. The clubhouse’s dining patio overlooks the golf course and offers city and Camelback Mountain views.
