As my family and I were planning our Thanksgiving dinner menu, we started thinking about how we were going to work off all those rich calories. We found a number of Turkey Trots in the Phoenix Metro area taking place on either Thanksgiving morning or the holiday weekend. Here are 8 of them below:

2. Fountain Hills – Turkey Trot

This is the 10th year of this Turkey Tri/Du Trot. Kids have a 1/2-mile run; 4-mile bike and 100-yard swim; Adults have 2 options: 2-mile run; 12 mile bike ride and 400-yard swim or 2-mile run; 12 mile bike ride and 1/2-mile run. $1000 in merchandise prizes will be awarded!
All of these races are annual events and attract both local and visiting families. It will be nice to get the work-out in before the big dinner!
