Looking for activities that you and your pets can enjoy together this weekend in Scottsdale? Or perhaps you are looking for a new pet to welcome into your family. If so, the 5th Annual Holiday Pet Festival, Arizona’s largest hosted by Tranquility Trail Animal Sanctuary, is the place to go.
This is a day for the dogs (and other domestic pets) to show off, find forever homes and mix and mingle with friends.
The day starts at WestWorld‘s indoor arena at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm. Admission, parking and contest participation are all free.
Bring your pets out for an active day of shopping for the latest pet toys, supplies and services. Your pets can get a free nail trim and Maricopa County Animal Control is offering special rates on microchipping, vaccines and licenses.
Does your pet have a special talent? Show it off in the Pet Talent Contest taking place at 3:45 pm, or outfit your pet in their best holiday attire and enter them in the 12:15 pet costume contest.
If you are ready to add another pet to your family, many of the Scottsdale area’s local animal shelters and rescues will be on-hand with dogs and cats looking for their forever homes. You can stroll the arena and meet with shelter volunteers, veterinarians and animal experts who will help you find your new dog or cat and answer all your canine and feline questions.
Santa’s on tap for pet photo opportunities and right nearby is the Angel Tree where you can bring holiday pet gifts or make cash donations with 100% of the proceeds going to homeless animals.
Come on out and enjoy the 5th Annual Holiday Pet Festival at WestWorld Saturday, December 6th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and bring the furry members of your family!
