Valentine's Day Date Ideas in Scottsdale - February 2020
Valentine’s Day 2020 is right around the corner, and now is the time to start making reservations and planning your evening if you want to make it special. Check out these three fabulous Valentine’s Day date ideas in Scottsdale and the surrounding communities for some inspiration. This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday – so you even have the option of making a whole day out of it on Saturday the 15th.

3 Great Valentine’s Day Date Ideas in Scottsdale

You’ll fall in love with these three Valentine’s Day date ideas in and around Scottsdale:

  1. Visit the LOVE sculpture, fly high in a hot air balloon, and have dinner at elements
  2. Stroll along the Soleri Bridge and Plaza before dining at Café Monarch
  3. Splurge on an overnight stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and stay in-house for dinner at Bourbon Steak

Here’s a closer look at each plan so you can gather inspiration for your special day.

#1. LOVE is in the Air

Scottdale’s famed red pop art sculpture by Robert Indiana, located in the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, is a great place for Valentine’s Day photo ops – and it’s a great place to start your date, too. February is a great month for hot-air ballooning in Scottsdale; the weather is usually just right. There are a handful of great ballooning companies right here in town, and they’ll take you as high as 4,000 feet for an adventure you and your special someone will never forget. Then, cruise over to elements to enjoy delectable cuisine prepared by Food Network star Chef Beau MacMillan.

#2. Walk the Soleri Bridge and Dine at Café Monarch

The Soleri Bridge and Plaza is a gorgeous work of art, and you can stroll along it whenever you’d like (and we think Valentine’s Day is the perfect time). Anchored by massive 64-foot pylons and designed to combine art and function, the bridge leads to the 22,000-square-foot Soleri Plaza that features totemic panels that replicate the cast wall representing Cosanti and Arcosanti. It’s an incredibly romantic place, so it’s the perfect spot to stroll before your dinner reservation at Café Monarch, which is widely recognized as one of Scottsdale’s most romantic restaurants.

#3. Treat Someone Like a Princess

The Scottsdale Fairmont Princess is one of the most beloved hotels in the city, and it’s no wonder why – you’ll enjoy its nature-filled landscape featuring lush lagoons, fire pits and spectacular views of the night sky. Overnight stays at the Fairmont Princess are nothing short of spectacular, and fortunately, there are a handful of fabulous restaurants right on the property. Check out Bourbon Steak, Toro Latin Restaurant and Rum Bar, La Hacienda, Ironwood American Kitchen and The Plaza Bar to make your stay complete.
