New dining experiences and renovations underway at the Boulders Resort & Spa

If you live in the Arizona golf homes around the Boulders Resort & Spa, or just love to visit this desert gem, you’re in for some new dining experiences! The luxury resort and spa with championship golf is updating its style, including its culinary offerings.
After 30 years in business, the entire resort is getting a highly-anticipated renovation. The process has been underway for the last several years and now it’s time to tackle the restaurants in the main lodge. The Latilla Restaurant has been closed permanently. When the venue reopens at the end of the year, it will be under the new name Latilla Ballroom and will be reserved for private events, such as weddings, meetings and social gatherings.
What was once the Discovery Lounge will become a new cocktail parlor featuring 25-foot floor-to-ceiling windows to play upon the amazing Sonoran desert and boulders surrounding the property. A stunning full service bar and more modern Southwestern design will update the décor, incorporating rich materials like leather and hardwood.
The Palo Verde restaurant on the 6th fairway of the South Course will retain its name but switch to a Native American theme and style. You can expect to see earth tones, intricate wood work, and geometric designs as part of the remodel.
If you’re planning a golf game or visit to the Boulders before the renovation is complete (roughly end of the year), there are still places to grab a bite. The Grill Kitchen & Bar on the 18th hole is perfect after playing a round, while the Spa Café is available for light and healthy fare.
Or opt for the new Dining Under the Stars seasonal monthly dinner series – $95 per person and available through January 2016. Take in the sights and ambiance of the resort’s 5,600 square-foot garden, the Cocopelli terrace or the Boulders Golf Club patio. Farm-to-table food is served along with a guest winemaker or spirits crafter, such as the upcoming Duckhorn Vineyards wine dinner on December 5th and the Hundred Acre & Layer Cake Wines dinner on January 28th.
The new look, style, and culinary mastery is sure to add even more appeal to this stellar resort and surrounding Arizona golf communities.
